Hemp is a type of textile made from the fibers in the herbaceous plant of the species Cannabis sativa. One of the more eco-friendly and sustainable fabrics to produce. It takes less land and minimal water to produce a significant amount. Hemp is also considered to be a carbon negative raw material, meaning it absorbs more carbon than it produces. Hemp is soft but durable. Its lightweight hand makes it breathable while also effectively facilitating the passage of moisture from skin to the atmosphere. The hemp fabric we use is sourced from Envirotextiles and certified organic.
