Naturally Terrazzo: Creating Textile Prints with Veggie Scraps at Buena Vida Bodega
This Stalph workshop will be an intimate & untraditional way to learn how to use substantive fruit and vegetable waste to add living color to your textiles through a Terrazzo method of dyeing. We will be reviewing why natural dyes are the kinder option and the impact synthetic dyes not only have on our precious Earth but on our bodies as well.
At this workshop, you will specifically learn the basic fundamentals of creating textile prints! We will be reviewing required tools, materials, safety precautions & techniques to prepare you for your own future dye experiments.
As a participant, you will be bundle dyeing a 24”x24” WAZUAZ bandana, included in the cost. We personally use our collection of bandanas for our hair, around our neck for scarves and even as altar cloths.
